Class A solid fires

Class A fires are ordinary solid combustible fires.

These especially includes:

  • Plants and derivatives: wood, cardboard, straw, paper, cotton, flax, textile…
  • Synthetic polymer fires: plastic, resin, rubber, etc.
  • Structural fires combining the materials listed previously: houses, hangars, vehicles…

Class A fires are three dimensional fires: the material burns on the surface and also produces in-depth embers.

Wetting additives penetrate to the heart of the fire to put it out quickly and in depth, preventing the fire from re-igniting.
